Fethiye :
Ovacik is a delightful village located 1km from Oludeniz. It is in easy walking distance of Hisaronu and on the local dolmus route to Fethiye. Fethiye is a very pretty town at the hillsides of the Mount Mendos, the part of the Taurus Mountain chains, and surrounds the bay to which it gave its name. Due to the prevailing climatic conditions in the region, pine forests consisting of silver fir, Scotch fir, and Norway spruce cover the place. Olive, laurel, myrtle, acacia, plane tree, and popular trees are some other types that you can find in this rich flora. The frankincense tree (Liquidambar Orientalis) which is the source of myrrh widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, is among the rare species in the world. Plenty of archaeological interest in area: Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Patara, Tlos, Sidyma, Candiada and Karmilassos are accessible sites, which should keep the most ardent history buff entertained. Twelve island boat cruises; Marmaris; Dalyan turtle beach; various jeep safaris around the mountain ranges. A deserted Greek town exists at Kaya Koyu, near Oludeniz (home of the most famous beach in Turkey). Ovacik is great for people who want to be close enough to the nightlife to enjoy it, but prefer to retire to more quiet surroundings to sleep. Daytime: you can visit and enjoy several sights of archaeological and historical interest, including; sarcophagi, temples, a tower and a ruined fortress of the Knights Templar, Sailing, fishing trips, yachting, and museum. Turkish baths and massage. Nightlife: a good choice of bars and cafes; karaoke bars, a number of seasonal discos/nightclubs and music bars (which may be closed outside of peak season). The larger hotels provide their own evening entertainment, usually involving a belly dancer. The harbor is again the place to go for variety, as it offers a good choice of dining with sea views, and prices tend to be reasonable; both a la carte and set menu options are available. Good food can also in the main shopping zone behind the harbor. Good choice of cuisines: you can find Turkish meze (like Spanish tapas, where one can sample several small dishes), fresh seafood, and Indian, Chinese Continental and Mediterranean options. Some fast-food eateries line the shopping streets.
