Sarıgerme - Turkiye

The government has approved plans for the Sarigerme Tourism Project in which 18bn Lira will invested in creating in creating a new marina, several international standard golf courses, hotels and new roads. Much of this construction is already underway. Sarigerme has a superb sandy beach, 12km long, which combined with this investment; it expects eventually make Sarigerme as popular a destination as Marmaris or Fethiye. Sarigerme at present is fairly underdeveloped, but has the potential to become a very successful holiday resort, and already the village has some boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars springing up which is, at present, supported by the fact that there are also already 4 large holiday chain hotels here. Plenty for the historian in the labyrinth of narrow, attractive, cobbled streets dotted with carved stone sarcophagi, while in the cliffs above are temple facades, hewn from the living rock; these are the tombs of the Lycian lived here in the 4th century BC. The town has a lively, busy atmosphere, with plenty to keep most visitors occupied.

Dalyan - Turkiye

The tiny town of Dalyan in the province of Mugla on the South-Western Mediterranean is set in the centre of a broad delta whose natural beauty is completely unspoiled. This is one of the surviving corners of paradise, an area of outstanding natural beauty and historic interest. Along the Dalyan River of the delta from Koycegiz Lake are thermal baths the water is 40 degrees C. The water has used since Hellenistic times. The waters, which contain radioactive elements (harmless), and Hydrogen sulphur believed to cure rheumatism, skin disorders, liver, spleen and bowel complaints, as well as being beneficial for nervous and digestive disorders. The Mud baths also said to remedy rheumatism as well as cleanse and beautify the skin. The Dalyan River through which water circulates between the Mediterranean Sea and Koycegiz Lake winds its way down past the ancient Rock Tombs to the sea, via a small network of lakes and waterways. Dividing the delta is the Iztuzu sandbar stretching for 5 km east from the south of the river. Above the river on sheer cliffs are the weathered facades of Lycian tombs cut from living rock, circa 400 BC. The ruins of the ancient trading city of Kaunos are a short boat trip across the river. The south of Dalyan on the Mediterranean coast lays Iztuzu beach, near the village of the same name, and it is a fine place for sunbathing and swimming, but still more famous for the Caretta Caretta (Loggerhead Sea Turtles), which have been in existence since 95 million years! There are regular boat and minibus (dolmus) services to the beach. Visitors should be aware of the wooden stakes in the beach to mark nesting sites.

Dalaman - Turkiye

Dalaman is ideally place to enjoy the sandy beach of Sarigerme and the nearby quaint port of Gocek. The development surrounded by beautiful scenery, which built to a high standard, and complies with all European standards. Dalaman is now rapidly becoming an investment area for many Europeans purchasing property for investment in Turkey, this seems due to many factors including the town being announced a main tourist area (designated by the Turkish authorities.) from 2005 onwards. Plans for new marina's and a golf course are underway Dalaman has an extensive bus network linking it to Marmaris, Fethiye and surrounding areas. Just 15km and a short bus ride away is the lively resort of Sarigerme with its sandy beach, thriving bars, restaurants, and shops. A little further are Dalyan and Kaunos, home to the Loggerhead turtle, and ancient rock tombs, which overlook the river, daily activities such as paragliding, jeep safaris and horse riding are always on offer. Dalyan is home to the world famous 'mud-baths' with their well renowned beauty and healing secrets. There is plenty to attract people to buying property in Dalaman. There are many shops and a growing number of restaurants, bars and tea gardens.
Fethiye - Turkiye

Ovacik is a delightful village located 1km from Oludeniz. It is in easy walking distance of Hisaronu and on the local dolmus route to Fethiye. Fethiye is a very pretty town at the hillsides of the Mount Mendos, the part of the Taurus Mountain chains, and surrounds the bay to which it gave its name. Due to the prevailing climatic conditions in the region, pine forests consisting of silver fir, Scotch fir, and Norway spruce cover the place. Olive, laurel, myrtle, acacia, plane tree, and popular trees are some other types that you can find in this rich flora. The frankincense tree (Liquidambar Orientalis) which is the source of myrrh widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, is among the rare species in the world. Plenty of archaeological interest in area: Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Patara, Tlos, Sidyma, Candiada and Karmilassos are accessible sites, which should keep the most ardent history buff entertained. Twelve island boat cruises; Marmaris; Dalyan turtle beach; various jeep safaris around the mountain ranges. A deserted Greek town exists at Kaya Koyu, near Oludeniz (home of the most famous beach in Turkey). Ovacik is great for people who want to be close enough to the nightlife to enjoy it, but prefer to retire to more quiet surroundings to sleep. Daytime: you can visit and enjoy several sights of archaeological and historical interest, including; sarcophagi, temples, a tower and a ruined fortress of the Knights Templar, Sailing, fishing trips, yachting, and museum. Turkish baths and massage. Nightlife: a good choice of bars and cafes; karaoke bars, a number of seasonal discos/nightclubs and music bars (which may be closed outside of peak season). The larger hotels provide their own evening entertainment, usually involving a belly dancer. The harbor is again the place to go for variety, as it offers a good choice of dining with sea views, and prices tend to be reasonable; both a la carte and set menu options are available. Good food can also in the main shopping zone behind the harbor. Good choice of cuisines: you can find Turkish meze (like Spanish tapas, where one can sample several small dishes), fresh seafood, and Indian, Chinese Continental and Mediterranean options. Some fast-food eateries line the shopping streets.
