Flyglobespan, a leading budget airline company, will now offer flights between the cities of Glasgow and Aberdeen in Scotland and Dalaman in Turkey, reported Anatolia news agency. Managers of ATM Dalaman Airlines and Flyglobespan authorities visited Muğla Governer Ahmet Altıparmak.

In a statement to the media after the visit, ATM Director Hamdi Güvenç said, "Flyglobespan, a prominent budget airline company, will offer regularly scheduled flights between Aberdeen and Glasgow in Scotland and Dalaman for the summer season beginning in April 2009." Güvenç, revealing there will be three flights per week at first, said, "ATM, whose aim is to offer service for three million tourists in the Dalaman international terminal in 2009, has partnered with Flyglobespan, the foremost airline company in Scotland and England. Co-operation will allow us to achieve our goals. We will also support other important airline companies and encourage them to organize new flights that will bring more tourists to Muğla, as we did with Flyglobespan."Manager of Flyglobespan Airline Company Liam Burke expressed they wish to benefit from the Muğla's tourism potential.

Burke said, "We will start flights between the cities of Glasgow and Aberdeen in Scotland and Dalaman beginning on April 1, 2009. We plan to offer flights three times a week. We will operate 85 flights during summer season. This was a crucial and strategic step for us."
